The cypress wood bathrooms may look appealing but they come with maintenance issues!!! Also, navigating from the hotel to the train/subway station isn't as convenient as it could be, which could frustrate future guests!!!

The wooden bathtub was a delightful surprise, but the TV was outdated.

The cedarwood bathtub was a real standout feature, I spent almost every evening unwinding there after long days. The staff were very nice, I lost my wallet and they helped me track it down quickly, which made all the difference for my family.

my stay at takasegawa bettei was unforgettable! the superior double room was fantastic, especially the wooden bathtub. the staff were super attentive, really going the extra mile. it’s close to a small canal, which adds to the lovely ambiance.

We spent 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. The traditional wooden bath in our room was just what we needed after long days. The bed was super comfy and the tatami mats were a nice touch. We even had in-room breakfast, which was a sweet deal. Just wish it was easier to get to local spots!

The breakfast presentation left something to be desired. it wasn't very appetizing, and precaution is needed to avoid spills on the new futon. Also, while the room size was manageable for a couple, navigating between luggage and meals could be tight, particularly in smaller room configurations. It's worth mentioning that dining and shopping options nearby were fairly limited, although the city’s public transport made longer journeys to attractions easy.
